Report: Exploited migrant workers’ access to remedy in the Baltic Sea Region

In a joint project, HEUNI, the King Institute, and ETI Sweden have mapped existing grievance mechanisms for migrant workers in Sweden, Finland, and Norway. The report presents key findings and provides concrete examples of grievance mechanisms and access to remedy for cases of labour exploitation across the Baltic Sea region.
SAQ: Forced Labour in Solar Panel Supply Chains

This self-assessment questionnaire has been developed within the Working Group for Solar Energy to help companies identify risks of state-imposed forced labour in Chinese supply chains. The questions focus on forced labour indicators, the origin of components, and suppliers’ human rights due diligence processes. The publication also offers guidance on interpreting supplier responses.
Report: High Risk of Forced Labour in the Production of Trains and Trams in China

Using the same methodology as the 2023 report on electric buses, this report examines the risks of state-imposed forced labour in the production of trains and trams in China. It explores supplier links to the Xinjiang region and provides recommendations for companies to strengthen their human rights due diligence and mitigate risks. Report: Forced Labour and Human Rights Risks Behind Electric Buses in Swedish Public Transport

ETI Sweden’s Working Group on Electric Vehicles, in collaboration with Global Works, has developed this report highlighting the risks of state-imposed forced labour in Chinese-manufactured electric buses. The report also sheds light on other human rights violations affecting Uyghurs and other minorities. It provides recommendations for public buyers and companies on strengthening human rights due diligence and mitigating risks. Produced within the Working Group for Food and Beverage, this report examines human rights risks in the production of sesame seeds from Sudan, used in hummus and tahini. It maps the supply chain and identifies key human rights issues, including child labour and forced labour. Based on these findings, the report provides recommendations for companies to strengthen their human rights due diligence and mitigate risks.
